One of the Top Goalies in Recent NCAA History Joins the Ultimate Family

We are excited to announce that Molly Wolf has joined the Ultimate Lacrosse family. One of the top NCAA goalies in recent years, Wolf had the second best save percentage in NCAA Division I in 2015, stopping 51.7% of the shots she faced. A 2016 graduate of Loyola University of Maryland, Molly will take on the Ultimate roles of PA Regional Director and Director of Goalie Programs. These are two new positions at Ultimate, designed to streamline communication for PA players and their families while also helping further develop the skills of goalies across all Ultimate regions.

“Molly is an excellent addition to Ultimate and we are thrilled to have her on board,” explained Ultimate Lacrosse Founder and Head Coach Michele DeJuliis. “Molly has a wealth of playing and coaching experience and we are excited to have her work with our players. Her love for and dedication to the game is infectious, and she comes with the experience to really make an impact on our players. All players that work with Molly will be at an advantage.”

As PA Regional Director Wolf will serve as a liaison for all Pennsylvania Ultimate players. She will help with rostering, scheduling, and communicating any news and updates to Ultimate players and their families. Goalies from all Ultimate regions will directly benefit from Wolf’s training, as she will work with all keepers in specialized goalie workshops that will take place multiple times per season. Wolf will be in charge of Ultimate Lacrosse goalie curriculum, working with goalies year-round to not only increase their save percentage but also improve their confidence, communication, and overall presence in cage.

"I am extremely excited to be a part of the Ultimate Lacrosse family,” explained Wolf. “I look forward to pushing each player to become stronger teammates and leaders, on and off of the field. Lacrosse has impacted my life in so many ways—I never dreamed that the sport that I love could turn into a career and that I’d be able to work with others that share my passion for the game. The PA players and coaches I have met with thus far are incredible and I look forward to getting to know them all more closely. I am excited to share my knowledge of the sport with the next generation of lacrosse players."

“In lacrosse goalies have a huge impact on the momentum of a game,” Wolf goes on. “You are your team’s backbone. As a goalie you are the only player with a view of the entire field. Your role isn’t just making saves—it’s managing pressure, it’s reading the offense, it’s communicating with your defenders; it’s having the confidence to use your voice and to make big plays when they count the most. These skills are crucial at the college level, and I am excited to work with Ultimate goalies to help them find success at the next level.”

As a high school player at Bryn Mawr School for Girls in Baltimore, MD, Wolf was a 3x Under Armour All-American and was ranked the #2 goalie in the class of 2012 by ESPNHS. From 2013-2016 Wolf was a spark between the pipes for the Greyhounds, starting every game of her career while playing in the competitive Patriot League. She finished her Loyola career with 612 saves, earning Third Team All-American honors and being named the Patriot League Tournament MVP in 2016. Wolf has continued playing after graduating from Loyola, first in Australia, where she played for the Brighton Bombers earning both team and league MVP. Wolf currently plays for the WPLL’s Upstate Pride along with PA 2014 midfielder Elena Romesburg. With Wolf in cage the Pride were able to make it to the semi-finals in the WPLL’s inaugural season.

Wolf has a lengthy lacrosse resume as both a coach and a program director. After returning from Australia she served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Loyola in 2017 while also working as a goalie coach for Baltimore-based SEVEN lacrosse. This gives Wolf the unique experience of having both played for and coached with the great Jen Adams. Most recently Wolf worked with MetroLacrosse and Harlem Lacrosse in Boston, MA, coaching teams and organizing practices and games for inner city 3rd grad through high school students. While in Boston Wolf also served as goalie coach for Laxachusetts.

Ultimate Lacrosse is thrilled to have Molly Wolf join the team, and we look forward to our players benefit from her presence. Goalies, stay tuned for news about upcoming fall group and individuals training sessions. Wolf will be giving goalie training at all Ultimate winter training sessions.
